ALEPPO SOAP is one of the oldest soap recipes recorded in history. It has been traditionally made with olive oil and laurel berry oil exclusively. It has to cure for over 7 months to reach its full potential of being a very hard soap with extremely gentle cleansing power. It is not fragranced but has a unique herbal scent. We have followed the traditional vegan recipe with the inclusion of 25% laurel berry oil in our formulation. This soap is perfect for sensitive skin, people who are allergic or sensitive to coconut oil or other oils in our signature recipe. We have left it unbeveled and rustic like our ancestors did- but couldn't resist stamping it with our signature butterfly on a laurel berry branch.
